i'm new at this and 3 sprouted from the 8 seeds i planted.. what should i do next to make sure i will harvest cantaloupe when it comes to harvest time... any way to protect my fruits from insects?

They don't need high nitrogen fertiliser they like organic food, dynamic lifter for example. If they have too much nitrogen they will grow a lot of leaves and not much fruit.Insects don't worry them too much and if they do start to eat the leaves you can spray them with a mixture of golden syrup and water, about half and half, which will stop most insects and won't harm plants.

I grew cantaloupe before. It needs no special attention.
