His heavy water experiments were conducted in Norway. If Germany's full national resources were devoted to the 'heavy water' experiments, most likely Hitler would've had the A-bomb before the US. Thankfully, he called off the development, especially after allied sabotage, and looked to his other 'wonder' weapons to save the day.

It was in Norway. The plant at Vemork was sabotaged in 1943.

Interestingly enough, the heavy water plant was originally built by Norsk Hydro in 1934!

Norway, as others have said. The destruction of the heavy water plant was shown in the Kirk Douglas movie, 'The Heroes of Telemark'

Norway and Poland are where it was experimented with allot.

Somewhere in Norway, he had the head start to the Atomic bomb but Bristish commandos blew the plant to bits.....
