I just looked up Elton John confession, Elton John confesses on Y! news, and nothing came up- haven't heard anything.

I think it was confessing to being sick & having to vomit whilst touring down under.
I must confess I nearly vomit when I see him now days especially when he starts promoting his untalented pals like Ronan (from the truly awful Boyzone).
Think he's lost the plot but had some good songs over the years.
The gay thing was out many years ago - everybody knew really even when he married a woman.

Being sick.
The 59-year-old musical giant was about to belt out his classic song "Crocodile Rock" when he dashed off stage to be sick during the first show of his Down Under tour.
