Dozens, particularly in the north of England and in Scotland. A garth is an enclosed yard or garden, a dale is an open valley, a thwaite an area which has been cleared for settlement. The first few that spring to mind are;
Braithwaite, village in the lake district.
Wensleydale, area of Yorkshire where the cheese comes from.
Aysgarth Falls, a beautiful waterfall in Yorkshire.
Thwaite is a town in the Swaledale area of Yorkshire and towns in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Garth is a town in Perthshire, Scotland
Clydesdale, the valley the Clyde runs through in Scotland
