About 40 or so years, after Christ rose into heaven, the church
started celebrating Christmas! Why? History gives/tells us that there were two reasons!
Since Christmas celebration is really suppose to be about Christ
being born, and He is a part of GOD made flesh, what would you
consider as appropriate for celebrating, before GOD, about the SON of GOD, His birthday?
The whole of Christmas is The Word Made Flesh's Birthday party!
If you are an Atheist, or not Christan, then, I would think that you would not celebrate Christmas because to do so is to recognize
that there is a Christ, a GOD!
So, where does Santa Clause fit in? Try a Catholic Bishop, some time ago, between 13, and 16 hundred, in Europe[e, that went around giving food, clothes, money, and things to the poor and their children. Because of his station, in the Church, He wore robes of RED color and his name was Klaus. Too, I am pretty sure that his first name was Nickolaus. He was later venerated into Sainthood
You might want to do your homework about Christmas before you suggest, New Way To Celebrate Christ;s Birthday!

There's that bizarre idea of having upside-down Christmas trees.
