You can purchase a 2.5" hard drive enclosure from your local computer store. It will connect via Firewire or USB 2.0. This is probably the easiest way.

Some laptops will have two spots for a hard drive. On my laptop, I have a second spot for a hard drive if I pull out my subwoofer. You may want to check your documentation there.

If you actually have two laptops, then you can connect buy a crossover ethernet cable and network the two laptops. Then, you can transfer the files.
