I need to start either Jason Campbell against Atlanta or Alex Smith against the Saints. I have Campbell starting right now. Is this good or should Smith start?

While neither QB option is very good, you should go with the lesser of two evils: Alex Smith.

Jason Campbell may become the future of the Redskin franchise, currently, he is only in a position to build up his experience. Also, Campbell does not have the luxury of having a monster RB starting alongside him.

Alex Smith is becoming more comfortable with the 49er offensive scheme and will be able to use Frank Gore to help keep the New Orleans defense on their heels. Also, New Orleans is more susceptible to shootout style games than Atlanta. You also need to remember that Atlanta's Defense will be getting a couple of its 1st-stringers back into action, which bolsters that line.

Start Alex Smith over Jason Campbell this week.

I would be weary of the return of the Atlanta D this week. Expect San Fran to grind into NO, which might help Smith from taking on too many sacks from that scary D line. I'd go with Smith.

I think I would start Campbell but I'm not really sure which would be the better choice.
