As has been known, there are far more White male/Asian female couples than Asian male/White female. People say this has been attributed to media (More white male/asian female couples portrayed in media than white female/asian male). Do you think the rise of Asian male representation in media with characters like Hiro Nakamura (plus his relationship with a white female, Charlie) in Heroes help out the Asian male cause? Or are stereotypes still holding back Asian males in the dating world? Are views of Asian males slowly changing?

In my observation, stereotypes have dropped for women dating Asians. Many Asian men are melted or born here and date from the majority. Those who haven't, or are unwilling to melt, prefer Asian women. I see it all the time, everywhere.

Stereotypes in media hardly reflect real life. TV and movies are way behind. They are stories meant for the general audience. Truth creeps up on the majority at a very slow pace. The majority feels most comfortable with old ideas.

I'm elated about the newest Asian male characters on TV. I think the Asians are moving farther mainstream. I'm stoked that Future Hiro looks really cool, and the Eastern Indian guy on Heroes is UNbelievably HOT.

i'm an American female and that i respect Asian boys. I specifically like Korean and jap boys. i have properly-known Korean adult men to be reliable and fairly handsome. And jap boys are so quite and appealing~ O_O;; U-umm shifting on. shifting on. yet yeah, the media truly blows issues out of share. I hate how they say all Koreans devour dogs or how all Asians are chinese. I advise that's like no human being even notices the Laos, Vietnamese, Malaysians, Filipino, Thai and that i might want to bypass on. (yet there is too many to record @_@) yet maximum human beings are ignorant and smug, besides. I, in my opinion, do not imagine the size concerns. I advise heavily. who's that shallow?

Asian guys don't need t.v. or the media to get girls. You either have game or you don't. There is no need for race blaming.

i think the reason why we dont see alot of asain males with white girls is because girls generally like guys who are larger and "manly...and asain people are generally smaller people then white people. [and that isnt a racist comment! its true! im asain!] most asain guys, even though theyre tall...they lack a thick build compared to a white guy. and i dont think the media is really making asain males look any better. usually when i see an asain guy on tv or something its a typical nerdy asain guy with glasses. OR its OF COARSE a docter...and even thats rare! also white people seem to find asain features that asain people see as "ugly" as "pretty" or "exotic". example....most asain people dont like the stereotype thin slanted eyes...we like large, circle eyes with double eye lids.
