I'm attending college next year in the U.S, although i'm quite anxious about going there b/c I don't know anyone. I'm afraid that most Americans will ignore me b/c i'm a foreign exhange student from the Phillippines. Any tips on how I can deal with this?

hard stuff to deal with. some places are just very accepting and others arent. but in college it should be alot easier because there will be alot of new people and its normal for asian people to come over here for college.

Don't be afraid of anything. Most Americans are friendly even though you may meet some hostile people but it is common everywhere you go.You are always sure to meet some mean people even in your family and some friendly people at the mall. You are here to study and that's all.You don't have to think a lot about what some hostile or mean person might think of or say to you.Just focus on what you want and work towards getting it.You can make people like or hate you,but overdoing either of these isn't good.Enjoy your stay here and do what you came for.Welcome

It's a little bit to get in touch with native Americans. However, most of them are friendly. There are also some student oganizations where you can make friends with others, including Americans, Asians, Europeans,...^_^ If you listen to them, they will listen to you ^_^
