It certainly looks that way, doesn't it? We will pull out and the Iraqis will slaughter one another. Sunni vs. Shiite. The Quran states that this must never happen, but who follows the Quran?
It is really too bad because there are very good parts to the Quran and if followed, this mess in Iraq started by a rebel cleric would have never happened. Of course, we all know that Iran is behind this revolt and is feeding the Shiites arms and bombs. This is definitely against the Quran's teaching but who listens to what holy books have to say? This is a fight for power and these people have been fighting each other for centuries. Our misfortune is that we are in the middle of this mess.

Yes I think he can save our intrests as well as free the people of Iraq.We just have to stop listening to the media and get behind our troops and President.

No. I think he can preserve the national boundaries and help save the ordinary citizens who simply want to live their lives. If we simply cut and run, someone else will step in, possibly Iran, possibly someone else. We owe it to the people there to allow them to establish a means of sustaining themselves.

I agree. He can't. No matter how good-intentioned his efforts are to "save" Iraq, it is untimately impossible.
