I'm 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant and my baby always seems to be on my right side under my ribs. There is always a huge bump there (like his back or butt or something) and it's really uncomfortable! He pushes so hard sometimes that it make my ribs really sore and I can't sit up straight!

Is it normal for him to be pushing so hard?

Do you think he's stuck, or just comfortable there?

Is there any way to move him without hurting him?

Thanks :)

He is just very comfortable, making you very uncomfortable, lol.

Try getting on all fours and rock back and forth it takes pressure off your body & usually moves baby (safely too). But he /she will move back into their favorite spot, so this is something you will have to do more than once, Good Luck

LOL thats cute, no he's not stuck! Have you tried massaging your belly where the bump is? That usually works for me, he gets mad and shifts out of my ribs. My little guy likes to completely stretch out many times a day too... OUCH! And yes, I sometimes can't sit up all the way either. Good news is your almost there so the little guy won't be doing this too much longer! Good Luck to you and Congrats!

you can move him or her and he will just be back in no time. My middle daughter cracked 3 of my ribs. It is alright to push down on them for a bit of relief however they just get mad and kick you back. Oh and guess what she was the only baby I went over due with. You will probably have yourself a very strong willed child.
Good luck with your last couple of weeks hopefully you will drop early and that will give you a little relief.
Take Care and remember to Push in no time you will have a little bundle in your arms and will soon forget about everything.

Yes it is normal because he is running out of space in there. No he isnt stuck just looking for a way to make himself comfy. The only way he can be moved is if a doctor a midwife does it .Congrats and Good luck .

it is very normal....i am almost 37 weeks too and my daughter is always hanging out on the right side as well!!!!! the pushing you are feeling is probably a braxton hicks contraction...its your body getting ready to go into real labor.....sometimes i either push on the side of my belly or change positions and the hard bump normally goes down

your getting close......congrats!!!

Try lying, sleeping, resting only on your left side (recommended anyway). But mine is currently lying on my left side (at 40 weeks) and likes to jam her foot up into my ribs. Fortunately I'm tall and she can't reach if I sit up straight, as otherwise this would be unbareable.

Babies generally like to face their placenta so if that's on your left he may just swing back around where he's comfortable.

Good luck.

Don't worry, he's not stuck.

The only way to move him is if a doctor does it. And doctors only do it to try and move a baby out of breech position into head-down position.

It's also fairly risky, and a c-section team has to stand by in case of emergency.

I'm sure it's perfectly normal - he's just running out of room! try going on your hands and knees for a little while to see if he moves. Good luck!

YES ITS NORMAL. I DONT THINK HE'S STUCK I THINK THAT AT THIS POINT IN YOUR PREGNANCY HE HAS GOTTEN SO BIG THAT THERES NOT TOO MUCH ROOM FOR MOVEMENT LEFT. THERE'S ONLY ONE REAL BIG MOVE LEFT AND ITS OUT! IM SURE YOU COULD PUSH HIM A LITTLE, JUST THINK ABOUT WHEN YOUR DR PUSHES ON YOUR TUMMY WITH THE ULTRASOUND, AND HOW MUCH THEY PUSH
