Asteroid's name is Apophis, google Apophis it's on Wikipedia.
No, it won't hit, the chance of that is extremely slim, it'll hardly even pass close enough to be seen with a telescope.
Even back then I think it was something like a 2% chance of hitting - because of very limited data, now it's much lower and even if it did hit it'd be like a nuclear bomb but prolly in the ocean (tsunami all over again).
You personally would not likely be killed, just a random skyscraper-sized rock going really fast.
Of course if it hit near a human city that would be bad (!) but that's like a 1 in 100 random chance.
I'm pretty sure the biggest risk of an asteroid is one hitting the ocean and causing a huge tsunami and killing everyone, you would need a really small asteroid to devastate an entire ocean's coasts..
Death by war is much more likely.
Total death by nuclear weapons over 60 years: 300,000?
Death by space impact last entire world history: 0. Or close to it.
Chance of nearly total human death by impact? 20 million years?
Chance of nearly total human death by nuclear war? 2050? Who knows..
The most likely death however, is cancer stroke and/or heart disease.

Yes, the consensus is that we (of Earthly origin) are at some
level of risk in the ensuing years to come...especially 2036...
There is,of course, effort being made to enable us to divert
this one....STAY TUNED!!!

I thought it was sooner than that-like April, Friday the 13th, 2029
http://www.meta-religion.com/Astronomy/Asteroids/asteroid_close.htm
If it ever hits, I'm sure it will have a "deep impact" on us!
