If you have money to get a good lawyer you can fight this, since you admitted it without a parent or anyone present and i'm assuming you're a minor, you could say that you were scared and the school threatened you. However, if you don't have money to fight this legally you are really at the mercy of the administration. Typically legal aid wont help you and its very doubtful that any organizations like the ACLU or anything will help fund your legal battle, so you're on your own and either fork over the money for the courts or check out other schools.

there is nothing that you can do. your parents can request a hearing, but with pot that is a major offense and automatic expulsion. take it as a lesson learned. you cannot attend a public school for the rest of this school year. you may attend a private school, if they will take you. you will repeat the grade next year.

Accepting pot is a crime, no matter whether you intended to use it or not. Chalk it up under lessons learned.

Get a good lawyer. And learn a lesson from this -- never jeopardize your future even for a so-called friend.
