Alot of people like to say Yoko Ono broke up the Beatles. Yoko definitly did add the growing tension in the group. However I dont think you can blame one thing or one person for the bands breakup.
Probaly the main cause would be the growing differences between Paul McCartney and John Lennon. As the group got older the two began to devolp different tastes and there songs after the Beatles arnt all that simular and youll notice that some of the songs are attacks on the other. The song How Do You Sleep by John is a very obvious and brutal attack on Paul. And the song Too Many People by Paul has been said as an attack on John.
It is very obvious that Paul doesnt like Yoko and that Yoko doesnt like Paul. She really intruded on the bands time togther by presiding over recording sessions and whispering to John in the corner. At one point even when her and John where in a car accident she still insisited she come in on the sessions and had a bed moved into the room. There she sat in the bed moaning, eating the other Beatles food (which really bugged them) wearing a tiara that John bought for her to cover up her scar.
Another magor factor was the passing of Brain Epstien. He really helped the group alot and wouldnt have allowed Yoko in the recording sessions.
There are a few more factors but those are the main ones and all I have time to state. Hope it helps!

The usual story was that Yoko broke up the Beatles. While she was not a positive factor, I think the real reason was the attempt by Paul to get Linda's father to manage the group while the others wanted Allan Klein.
Allan Klein went on to manage the Stones and nearly destroyed them too. Generally speaking, the only person who ever benefitted out of an Allen Klein management was Allan Klein. His photo illustrates the dictionary entry for crooked manager.

To my knowledge it was that Paul and John were not getting along. Early on, they had a great working relationship but as they developed as artists, their visions began changing beyond compromise. They became competitive toward each other and ultimately were unable to reconcile both artistic and personal differences. I believe everyone blames Yoko, but John was gonna be a crazy hippie no matter what. Additionally, Ringo and George grew unhappy with the entire situation. They all began imagining themselves working solo or with other artists. Afterall, they had been linving in the shadow of John and Paul for all thier professional lives. That's what I know anyway from what I've read and heard.

Everyone's going to blame Yoko, and John's relationship with her.
Whatever happened "because" of Yoko was just a symptom of what was happening with the band. They had separate interests and plans, disagreed with where the band was going.
