normally we have power cut while at work and then the screen gets off.Then what can i do to close the open windows and shut down the computer properly?

go to the start menu and click onsettings then control panel, then power options. you can set the computer to shut itself down after a certain length of time, or you can set it to hibernate or several other options and set the requirements for the monitor to shut itself off after a certain time of non-use like five or ten minutes and the computer after 10 or 15 minutes etc. windows shuts down and saves settings, then computer goes into hibernation or can be set to turn off. you can even set a password to sign back on after a few minutes of non-use.
