Job Interview technique
There are several interview technique s one can use during the actual interview
Attention Aware Interview technique :
Limit you amount of talking. Interviews have only a limited attention time, to be specific there is only about 80 seconds where you have the interviews attention. After you start replying to an Interview Question
The back ground to the Interview technique is :
As you start your reply to the interview question, you interviews has full attention. As more time passes his attention is decreasing rapidly. After 60 seconds, you have basically lost him/her. So aim to deliver the answer in less than 60 seconds. Delivering your highlight after 60 seconds will not necessarily reach the interviewers head! If you are not convinced by the level of detail you have given. Ask: "Do you want me to expand more on this?"
Ask Questions Interview Technique :
Engage the interviewer by asking questions. Asking Questions improves your relations with the interviewer, and you will be more easily remembered after the interview. Interviewers are impressed by the interest you show in the job, sometimes even more the selling points you have. If you can manage to get your interviewer talking about himself, you are doing great!

1) Assess your appearence......first impressions count and last!!!!
Wear conservative clean clothes that fit properly.
Take out all visible body piercings; most likely you won't be able to wear them at work so don't wear them to the interview.
2) Shake the person's hand and introduce yourself.
Practice this so it doesn't look like you are trying to hard or uncomfortable
3) Use good eye contact, smile, good body posture
If you slouch you will appear lazy .........sit up straight and try to relax. You can clasp your fingers together and rest them on the table if you think you will fidget.
4) Answer questions, as often as possible, with more than one word answers............sell yourself.....I'm dependable ........I'm trustworthy.........they may ask why ??????think of a follow up answer.....like I'm never tardy for school
Speak clearly, don't mumble.
5) Be prepared to answer "why do you want to work here and why should I hire you type of questions
6) You have experiences that are job like...babysitting......any voluteer work.......helping parnts in a family business or even having chores......sports teams show team orientation.............If you put down personal ...references tell them you are using them so they are prepared to sell you also if they are called.
7) Be open to starting salary, you have no experience so you will start out at the botom or lower range. If you work hard they will pay you more AFTER you prove yourself.
8) Remember you are interviewing them also for the right job fit
find out about flexiblity of scheduling.how many hours you will most likely receive....pay raises and advancement......job responsibilities.................Know what is expected. If it doesn't sound like you'll like it you won't be happy or successful there.
Try somewhere else.
I could keep going.......I have done literally hundreds of interviews
I can and have decided a candidate in the first few minutes just based on their demeanor and appearence.............This may sound harsh, but you're in the real world now. There are "no student left behind" laws in the work force. I have a former co-worker who didn't hire someone just because their tooth was chipped!!!
Relax you'll do fine...............don't forget to thank the interviewer and shake their hand again.Give a follow up call with in 48 hours.........if you're on the fence a follow up call expressng interest can land you the job!!!!! Get the interviewers name so you know who to call and don't get lost in the shuffle of several interviewers.

Umm...first thing...don't be nervous. They're just normal people working at Sears. If you have a hard time talking to them during your interview, how do you think they'll imagine you handling customers?
This doesn't, however, mean you can pretend they're your best friends and tell them anything. Tell them anything pertinent, but not overly thorough in mior details or get too personal, and make every question the opening of a conversation. As mentioned earlier, dress appropriately, but don't overdress. Otherwise, be your normal, charming self and i'm sure you;ll manage.

At this time of year companies like Sears are only looking for Holiday help only, Basically anyone that has a pulse. they do keep very few after words, so dress nice and not to much make-up, its ok to be nervous it shows you care and want the job. Good Luck with your interview and be yourself.

You will get it! Just tell them you enjoy the public and people in general. And tell them that you are looking for a career and not just a job (even if it's a lie). And they WILL ask you: Why should we hire you? And you respond by saying all the things above! GOOD LUCK!!!

always prepare for the good / bad qualities of yourself because usually they ask you. or strengths and weaknesses... if you really don't know your weaknesses just say " i realize i have weaknesses but i am willing to learn and improve from them". also just be friendly and be yourself. if you don't understand a question, just ask them to restate it. hope you get the job!! GOOD LUCK!!!
