go to control panel-printer and faxes-right click on printer -choose preference and then service

Normally this type of printers can print 60-75 colour and 70-100 B&W prints. But this depands upon the images or colours which u print. If u r using original catridge of HP, then a windows is displaying the level of ink left in the catridges, but if u r using refill catridges, then it will not show u the exact level of ink.

You may be able to look down in the lower right hand corner and right click on your computer icon and it should show you how much ink is left in b/w or color. That's the way mine works.
