During the "terror" of 1935 to 1938 he had 47 million people executed or they died in Gulags. These were all his own people he suspected of teason or anti communist actions.
Also 90% of germans in world war 2 were killed on the eastern front some 3 million. No one else has killed so many people in the 20th century although there has been many genocides throughout histroy.

There aren't any really good estimates that I know of because of lack of records, etc. Unlike the Nazis, the Russians were not precise record keepers. Some say as high as 60 million. Others say only a few million, but if you count repression and enforced famine, then it is certainly more than that.

It is probably safe to say that Stalin killed more people than Hitler, making Stalin the worst killer of all time.

Yes, he is by far the worst killer of all time. He not only killed millions, but they were all Russian, just like him!

He killed his own people in the name of communism, a supposed "peace loving" government. Pffft.

He killed millions in his purges in the 30's and 40's How many actually died is still hotly debated. He also sent hundreds of thousands to the gulags in Siberia. Some escaped the gulags and others died there. So if you count that they were not killed outright then the death count goes up.
I don't think he killed as many Jews as Hitler but I am sure it is darn close. It wouldn't surprise me to find he killed more!
I think it is a tie between him Mao and Hitler as to who is the greatest mass murderer. (Mao had many artisans killed during the cultural revolution)
So take your pick. Quite frankly I don't care how many died. He was evil and that is all that needs to be said.

im not sure the exact amount but he if u look at the russian population before WW2 and then after its a huge chunk... stalin pretty much sent the soldiers into a suicide run all the time.. which technically the soldiers were killed by the germans but he sent them little supplied 1 rifle per 2 people if they retreated they were to be shot by their own officers. plus he had the gulags which were pretty bad too.
