Considering the fact that he's died twice already in the manga and still managed to come back, no. Only one of the actual main/minor characters has successfully managed to die and stay dead.

No, I don't think so. I saw most of the last episode and I don't remember him dying. It really sucked. That means Miroku's gonna die! NO!! I wish they finished the anime with a good ending!

It doesn't matter anymore, as the anime has already ended.
Anyway, this particluar author of Inuyasha loves to create animes that don't really have a definite way of ending. There's always unfinished business in her animes.
