You need the right steel and technique. It takes many years to learn to make a Samurai sword, that is any good. See if you can find the book The Samurai Sword by John M. Yumoto the one I have is the 10th printing 1972, by the Charles E. Tuttle Co. Rutland Vermont and Tokyo Japan. It is not an easy project to do. Good luck.
