It's not good for him to have NO exercise at all, but what are you going to do? Try to get him interested in a sport or something. (Football, Basketball, Swimming, etc.)
Other people are saying if he plays variety of games, or more sociable games it's normal, (WoW, and others), but that's not the case. He needs to exercise and to be more interactive with people other than by (Yahoo Messenger, MSN, AIM, or chat functions in games). Like I said, try and get him interested in a different sport. Being "lazy" can cause a lot of problems down the lines.

No it is not. That is the reason you posed this question. I can understand your agony as I am also facing the same situation with my son. Particularly with the game Runescape, its a game for the stupids and waste and energy. You can pursue him not to do the same but in doing so do not hesitate the things have patience in dealing with the situation. God will sure help you as is always.

well...for him its normal but its a way to hide from a social scene. being 15 sucks sometimes if you arent one of the popular kids and maybe thats the situation or maybe he is dealing with depression. however if he is doing fine in school and that what he likes to do then so be it...hopefully there is a bit more to it than that but i am sure he is alright.

Normal, possibly. Healthy, no. although there are worse things a 15 year old could be doing.

It is normal for an unsupervised teen who's parent's aren't stepping up to the plate and parenting him into more productive, socially acceptable behavior.

Behold, I am Iron Fart Warrior!!!
Yes, this is very normal for certai individual. These individuals are called nerds. And though you might not be a nerd or geek, there are others that are, including myself, so just shut up and expect things as they are. Don't diss on other nerds, they are the most superior of all lifeforms.

depends on what your definition of normal
that's not what most 15 year olds do, so i'm guessing no, in relative term of normal being the average.
