What I am looking for is unattainable. If I ever manage to get it, I will lose it with a single thought. I am not waiting for I am constantly searching for it. Sometimes what I desire is within my grasp, but then it vanishes. That which I am looking for is: PEACE OF MIND.

I know that I will never get it.

I was looking for love and I found it. It took a lot of work to get to the point I am at in my relationship, but I have to say it was worth the incredible joy and happiness both that I get out of it. But happiness is just a state of mind I suppose, and that is something we can all choose. Some day I wish to get married and have children, but I'm still young (18) and haven't lived quite enough yet for all that...

The funny thing is, as hard as I've worked toward certain goals, when they've become impossible as a result of extremely difficult life circumstances, the surprises that come in their place, which I would NEVER had wished for, always turn out to be more gratifying & fun! It's happened so many times that I've given up clinging to things. Instead I embrace SURPRISE!
Be grateful, even when things don't work out your way, and watch what you learn! It's amazing. ;-) Surprise me!

I am looking and waiting for true love with my soul-mate. I never found it, and I am not young anymore (54 yrs).

I am thinking now of Neil Young's song Heart of Gold as follows:

I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind, it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching for a heart of gold
You keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
I've been a miner for a heart of gold.
