Such a measurement may be calcuated by weighing and measuring the patient, and then conducting a blood viscosity reading. Turbidiometers can measure the fluid content of blood andor automatic cell counters can measure the number of white and red blood cells in a given amount of blood. These results are then compared with empiricle tables for average fluid percentage of people with similar mass and body measurements.
