Dan Browns cobblers spouts a myriad of half truths and draws globetrotters on the latest 'National Lampoon European Vacation' Not to be outdone 'National Treasure' comes out a year after the above book on the same pit focused trail of Masonic flattery.

America's wonderful enough without this rubbish:

What sucked most totally about this film or...would you just swollow it?
(yes I watched it without walking out last night)

It might help to consider the apparently Innocent way in which National Treasure portrays American Free Masonary and it's founding fathers; Albert Pike and friends.

Albert Pike (b. December 29, 1809, Boston - d. April 2, 1891, Washington, D.C.) Freemason, is the only Confederate military officer or figure to be honoured with a statue in Washington, D.C. The statue sits in Judiciary Square.

Pike was elected Sovereign Grand Commander of the Masonic lodge's Scottish Rite in 1859: a position he held for the next 32 years. It was during this period that he developed the order's rituals and entered into American history and culture.

Americas involvement with the Scottish Rite and it's Satanic influences stem from Albert Pikes plagiarization of Eliphas Levi. Levi is the author of many satanic writings which later inspired Pike and Alister Crowley (self professed beast of the apocalips 666 [sad!] and his Order of the Golden dawn)

Eliphas Levi's main thrust was anti-Catholic, anti-Christian

ops, Typo...please read 'Apocalypse'

Pikes notion that Judeo/Christian literature were Hindu in origin is a clear sign of Eliphas Levi's influence on Pikes writings and thus the American Lodge.

National Treasure was good because of all the death it did not contain, a real romeo and juliet love tail between strangers, and finding gold. It did a great job of telling the real 9/11 Story, about the woman who didn't mean to sware, the grandmother lost in the subway, little blood of why a man would put together Pennsylvania history and recommendations to improve the social contract in Pennsylvania, how to save life (better than gold) in the future, and an excellent portrail of Bill O'Reilly Fox New Commentator who some day will be as good looking a freedom fighter as me.

National Treasure did not suck. It played fast and loose with history and the people in it, but it was a rather good film and is in my collection.

As to the comparison to that second rate murder mystery that is the DaVinci Code, it is truly unwarranted. NT is a work of fiction and clearly defines itself as such from the word go. Code is second rate and half baked and wrapped in Christian lore to get attention and invoke needless discussion.

NT takes the common knowledge that a healthy share of the founding Fathers were Masons, and weaves the mythology of masonic History to create a fictional treasure hunt though various landmarks of US history. NT claims that the Masons and their members have amassed and secured a said treasure through the ages and keeps it hidden, not out of greed or to create obedience, but based on the idea that no one man "is wise enough or good enough to possess it" for themselves.

Brown wove a murder mystery out of whole cloth, that raised questions about the very nature of the Christian faith, and the activities of some sects there of. It charges that the Roman Catholic Church has actively hidden the truth from its followers and will kill to keep it so. It uses bad translations and documents long known to be forged to tell its story.

How one can equate these two stories is beyond me.

Its a movie...HELLO! Are we to believe everything we see in the movies? Movies are made for entertainment value. Though, movies made today seem to be entertaining only to children. Its very hard for me to find a well thought out movie plot. All this extremely overdone computer animation, and also all the "crouching tiger" jumping through the air crap, ruins the movie. What happened to a movie that could stand on it's own, without the use, or expectation of a sequel? And don't even get me started on "remakes" Guess hollywood ran out of ideas.

well lets see how smart you are.

Whats does Da Vinci Code and National Treasure have in common? and i dont mean what people think of it as a movie.

give up?

Its all about the Holy Grail.. just that the two movies give two differnt ideas to what the holy grail is.

Want to know why?

Both deal with the Templer Knights.

Well in case you dont know jack about history, the templer knight was a real group, and way back in the days of the crusades, they went to jerusalem on a side mission... to find the legendary Holy Grail.

Guess what..

Both movies are about what they found.

Oh come on uncle Al was the man! Yeah the movie was quirky but it was a movie. Da Vinci code same thing. Cool fiction.

The problem with the movie that, althought it was humorous and witty, it was at the same time rather predictable and unrealistic. To me, it was like a PG version of "The DaVinci Code."
