something really bad happend to a football player in my area. i am going to put a link about the story. Some people and i want to do a benifit for him, but am not sure where to start. any ideas?

Contact your local American Legion, or VFW Post. They are veterans organizations, but their by-laws requires them to do community service. Fund raisers are something they are used to. You would be surprised how many people show up for spaghetti feeds.
Also people will turn out to help youth that have been hurt. The post should have permits to hold raffles, and that money could be donated to the family as well.
