It sounds like ovulation pain to me. I used to get the same thing before I went on birth control in high school for my heavy periods. Call your doctor to make sure.

i get cramps and headaches (pms) about 2 weeks before my period....
sometimes even 3 weeks before but its only occasional pain like sharp cramping for about an hour or so and then its fine for the next couple days then during the week before it gets increasingly worse....
you should see your dr. and get it checked out for sure though because it could be nothing but then again....? you never know and if it is just pain they may be able to prescribe something for you... sometimes birth control pills help for erractic period and heavy cramping but that option isnt for everyone so speak with your doc!

(if you dont have medical insurance you can speak to someone in your citys health department or clinics that work on a sliding scale)

I don't know if it is normal, but I get many headaches before a period too. And sore breasts, cramps, the whole mess. But if you are really concerned, ask your doctor for advice.

Cramps/hormonial changes/pain is completley normal before the menstrual cycle.

But if it's EXCRUCIATING, ask a doctor for some help.
