Why do people assume that someone who asks wacky questions is 'on something'?

"Creative" Exactly. I think it is that some people have little to no imagination. So not only do they not understand creativity when they see it. They lack the ability to come up with a witty quip or retort. And therefor they resort to "Wow you must smoke allot of weed hu hu huh.".

Good question, I get asked If I'm on something all the time.

I have a good sense of humour and can find fun in most things. Some people just don't get it, they are far to serious.

I would rather be the one laughing, than the one putting others down for having a good time.

Because the people that are "on something" often ask wacky questions. Artists personality profiles often indicate the same qualities of people who are mentally ill, even though they themselves might not be.

People let their mind wander on the net.I am always intrigued by people on Yahoo answers because I have never met any of them before.I assume most people who ask really rude or wacky questions are very well,they just do it for shock value for the attention.

some people just have a very constrained sense of reality, so that when something comes along that varies from the norm, they assume that the person is in an altered state :)
