i have moved into a new house and a new city and im 13 my problem is my lack of friends i have friends at school that seem to hang out after school with each other but i dont. they dont ask me to come over or anything and im getting bored but i dont want to ask them for some reason. HELP

Get involved with things you enjoy -- sports, the arts, clubs, etc. -- and you'll eventually develop relationships with the people in your new school. Just be yourself, don't be afraid to talk to people, and always try to remain positive. Good luck!

The best and quickest way to get into a group is to find out what they like, and offer it to them. Have them over for a little movie or video game party. Have your parents hang back, and give you some room. The kids will see that your parents are cool, and that they let you do fun stuff at the house. Make your place the spot others want to be! Haven't you seen That 70's Show, Eric is a dork, but he has a bad *** basement, and laid back folks! Good luck, and don't let them think you need to hang out with them or they will use the hell out of you.

Instead of trying to make friends, which never worked very well for me, just do things you enjoy. If you meet people doing those activities, you've a better chance of friendships resulting. Don't force it. I know that's easier said than done, but hang in there, be patient, and Good Luck!

Preston dear, i am sorry you had to move, that sucks...
but hmmm... I am sure they WANT to ask you to come along with them after school, but they are just getting to know you and they don't know how well you like them so maybe, if you think about it, they are just as afriad to ask you to hang out as you are to ask them. just give them time to warm up to you and hang in there :]
and if all else fails, put yourself out there and be like "I really like hanging out with you guys...wanna go to a movie today or something?" haha or...whatever a boy would say to his guy friends...i'm a girl i don't know these things.
