outside the Us is an obvious answer. Could do it on a vacation. If you are married in say Canada, your marriage will be recognized in the United States.
The next step would possibly be a state where it is legal. Technically, it won't be an actual marriage, but the same basic things apply. Not really sure on alot of them, but I think there are at least ten states. You can move back at any time, because the same laws apply as if you get married in another country.
BTW, I'm all for gay marriage. Everyone in the world should be given the oppurtunity to be chained to another person for all eternity.
Really, I see not importance in marriage at all. Legal union, I sort of understand. You need some able to sign the DNR and collect the will if thing go wrong, but love is love and what does a piece of paper, a ring, and a ceremony do.

I hate that this is not legal in the US! Totally blows. I am not gay but I believe everyone should be able to make the huge commitment like marriage gay or straight.
Maybe you can do something in Jamica that would be romantic on a beach or maybe in paris the most romantic city in the world.
I'm not to sure on where it is legal. Sorry but I wish you lots of luck you deserve it! Love is such a beautiful thing. :)

Congratulations! I wish you all the happiness in the world. I think it varies from state to state here in the U.S. But civil unions are permitted in many places.
I honestly don't see what the big deal is with gay marriage. It's not like people are going to stop being gay (or start) if its legalized.
I recommend that you do a wedding anyway. Wait until its finally legalized, then renew your vows.
Best of Luck

Good for you! Be happy! Unfortunately it isn't legal at all. SOme states, like Vermont, are a little more tolerant. Hopefully some day the rest of the country will realize that everyone deserves to be happy. good luck with that.

Maybe Netherlands, fúck I'm not sure.
Anyway it should be legal everywhere. But don't worry if you can't, u can still spend the rest of your life together without having legal papers saying you're married.
