I'm 45 (1961) and I like Alternative, Indie, Classic, New Wave, Rap, Oldies, Country, Pop '80's, Bubblegum, Rock, Adult Contemporary, Classical, Electronica & Techno (yeah! Operatica "O" and most all kinds of Techno), R & B, Heavy Metal.
That's all.
What you have to understand when you speak to people around 40 up is that we had "rock." We didn't have choices until we were like 20, about the time we entered or we're leaving college did Rap even start. Around the same time came "Metal" and it was 'wow' and how about this Punk, what was that? It was not something we we're used to having. I still just think ROCK and not Adult Contemporary or '80's or Pop. Of course, for my favorites, Techno I do learn my names and my DJ's, so I guess its all in what you like : ) I can't believe I'm OLD. . .
I remember when songs like "Rubber Man" by Leo Sayer were Number 1, lets just say the quality and idea's expressed in songs are even more interesting today (not that it wasn't a fun song)!
Go Dixie Chicks!

I personally like musicals. Some Emo touches my heart though. My grandparents listen to oldies so I have a little thing for that too, not to much though. I also listen to Christain music which in my word is the best. I am going on 17 so it really has to touch my heart for me really to get into it.
