I remember a movie back then about a teenage girl that gets involved with drugs, runs away from home and the things she does to get high. She has a friend that goes through this nightmare with her.what I remember most is the soundtrack, it had Jefferson Airplane, Blind Faith. I don't recall any big name actor, although there could have been, it was a long time ago. She eventually goes home but has learned some very hard life lessons and gone through severe trauma in her quest for drugs.

Would it have been "Go Ask Alice"? There was a pretty actress. I think her name was Jamie Smith Jackson. Aired in 1973.
