what height need to be a model in u.s?

Height is a very important matter for high fashion agencies. Most agencies look for models girls 5'9" and above and guys 6' and above. There are exceptional cases, like Kate Moss, who designers or bookers fall in love with and can make it regardless of height but it is very rare. Commercial agencies are not as particular when it comes to height.

For a man at least 6 ft. Perhaps 5ft11in can be considered. That is more or less the standard height for a male model. For female varies from 5ft 6 to 5ft 8.

look if you want to me a model you should have a cool personility not height or any other factor. you have examples of many people who are short and still models in big arenas. consider your if's and but's you can never become a model, consider your beings and havings and waht can be done ... any how 6" is the minimum height

For a female it is 5'9 and above, no exceptions, unless you're an actress or something.
