Certified in and of itself doesn't mean BAD. It means it's a letter the school want to make sure gets delivered and have the ability to track it.

That being said, they usually don't send them unless it's important. Which, if you're not up for scholarships or any awards, most likely means it's bad.

Certified only means that the sender wants proof of delivery to your address specifically. It could mean anything...it all depends on who sent it and of course you won't know that until you pick it up. I would think that your school is not going to take the time, money or effort to send communication to your parents by certified letter. I could be wrong but I seriously doubt it. Good Luck!
By the way......keep your @ss in class...you're only screwing yourself when you don't go.
Also, it could be good news...if it was real bad I tend to think that they would want to speak to your mom face to face...not through snail mail.

All certified means is they want proof that the person it was addressed to received it. If I were you, I would ask the guidance counsellor what it was.
