I would recommend a cleanse if you are ill or feel that you need to detoxify your body. Try not to get obsessed with cleaning your organs, they do have their own elimination process. Once you cleanse, be sure to eat right, live life in moderation, etc., so that you can stay in balance and good health.

I agree with blondelem that there's no need to do a liver cleanse "just because" but only if you have a specific disorder or reason to believe you are toxic. Never do a liver cleanse if you are the least bit consipated or bowels are sluggish. Clean them first.

A true liver cleanse will contain milk thistle seed extract, buplurum, dandelion root and burdock root, or herbs with similar actions. Renew Life makes a good one.

A liver cleanse will not give you a loose bowel so no need to fear leaving the house. Unless you are seriously toxic, you probably won't notice any changes while you're doing it. Very important to drink lots of pure water while cleansing the liver because it will dump toxins into the kidneys which must be flushed out.

Milk Thistle works. I do it about every 6 months for 1 day. It makes me feel like stinging in my skin. I do it when my liver gets sore from taking so much tyenol. I take 8 500 mg. a day(tyenol).

There is no such thing as a liver cleanser.

Quit fooling with stuff like that. Your body does its own cleansing.
