I'm Indian, and my parents families live in rural Indian villages, although we live in the U.S.
I suggest you try Gujarat and Punjab. They are regions with completely different customs, food, clothing, and even houses. I am Punjabi myself [from Punjab]. Punjabi women were Punjabi dress, which usually consists of a long shirt-like blouse that reaches down to the knees sometimes, and pant-like bottoms.
Gujarati women however usually wear the skirts and saris.
There are a lot of differences between these regions and even more differences if you compare one of them with Rajistan, which is another region.
And for the name of a village in Panjab, my mother's village is Rampur. I can't spell my dad's village's name.

I persist with my instincts. perhaps i'm a simpleton, yet I even have consistently felt that my judgment has consistently lead me to the righteous direction. My judgment takes me the place my faith meant for me to circulate. Are customs in comparison to clay, changing style with each new hand that molds it? Can one not see shifts in "way of existence"? Shepards at the instant are not to any extent further tending the fields, yet achieving for the sky, al the whilst saying "I shall under no circumstances substitute, Allah has blessed me and my people".
