always keep your skin moisturised and healthy by eating fresh fruits and vegetables and drinking lots and lots of water
exfoliate your skin once a week and protect it from sunlight by proper sunscreen and avoiding smoking
these steps are important to perfect any look whether it's the dewy look you admire so much or the matte look
you can try a product for illuminating the skin or with a hint of bronze or shine in it
i think you should use a self tanner like clarins or a temporary bronzer like a powder( make up with hints of gold works well too ) and leave the dewy look for the beach or more warm weather like summer
i noticed that no matter what look you go for nothing looks better than signs of health on the long run
(esp to your significant other and those who see you all the time )
good luck

I KNOW THE PERFECT THING!! I had the same problem. Go to any store like Walgreens, CVS or even a grocery store like Kroger or Publix. They have these tubes called "Revlon Skinlights" They are shiny tubes that come in a few differnt shades. They make your skin look pretty without looking greasy or wet. I love it.
TRY IT!! You wont be dissapointed I promise. Let me know.
