How do you find the gil snapper when doing the mark hunt in giza plains. Its supposed to be at the "Tracks of the Beast" I have found a piece of driftwood in the river but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this hunt or not?

first of all, i hate ppl that say "check out gamefaqs... " or any similar site... i mean are we assuming the asker is retarded and can't fig out things liek that? obviously ppl can't find certain info or dunno how to search for it...
anyways he's right about the 6 withered trees... you'll find one in each zone surrounding the area where you found the broken tree stuck in the water... it actually took me a bit of time to figure this out since i didnt wanna spoil it rite off the bat... its fun figuring out some of this stuff on your own... you really can't miss the withered white trees... cut them all down and then you'll be able to cross over where the tree was stuck originally... lotsa traps around so go in with libra or float on... adn depending on your lv and magic protection it can be a hella tough fight... esp since hte ones b4 seemed so easy lol... i thought it was rather tough for a lv 2 mark... if ur under lv 20 then go in cautiously... he's ice magic can be tough for you... well hope that helps... and if u have trouble beating him post another question.... be glad to help out...

There are six trees around the Giza plains that you have to cut down. After that's done, there will be another area you can get to. Its The place east of the save crystal(I forget the name) The Gil Snapper will only appear if its raining heavily, so you might have to zone and rezone. You should really check out gamefaqs, they have all the info you'll need.
