I'm thinking my mom loves it most to talk to my brothers on the phone when they can't make it. My mom is almost 50. A phone call would work. Maybe a sweeter would be nice to keep her warm. Or a gift card if she's chosey.

Awww, I am sorry to hear that. Without knowing your mom I wouldn't have any idea on what to suggest. However, knowing most moms they like things that are from the heart. You know!? Things such as Precious Moment figurines, perfume, a sweater/sweatshirt, gift cards, ornaments, something homemade. No matter what you pick I am sure she will love it!!

Books, candles, ways to relax. My mom is always mentioning "ways to look pretty." I think at 50, she is really starting to feel "old," and wants to feel young and pretty again. Maybe an assortment of nail polish or make-up. Or a gift cert. to get her hair done.
