I can only answer the last question. For how you should dress, it would be nice to wear something in their line that doesn't shout "I'm kissing your butts right now!!!" So wear (at least as a shirt or top) something from their store, but not necessarily with the logo blazing across the front.
Now, about the race. Abercrombie has gotten in legal trouble for racial discrimination. I am not too optimistic about their changes, but give it a shot. I don't mean to rain on the parade, but I still think they favor white people.
EDIT: Hmm, my view may be biased against A&F, so let me tell you that to be fair. A lot of people like it, but here are my problems:
1) Literally selling sex to you (I'm surprised Britney didn't do an ad for them)
2) Used race(ism) in their application process/employment (I hope they changed)
3) Really obscene t-shirts (people couldn't even wear some at school because of the connotations...) for high prices
I don't want to deter you from interviewing there if you are really excited about it (as you seem to be, I hope you get discounts!). My opinion is colored, but for the reasons you are worried about...
Good luck!

Acutally..I live in Toronto and I was apporached by the store managers of the sister company, Hollister..where they opted to offer me a position @ the store. They wanted me to do a group interview..but after reading up on the main compnay (A&F) i decided not to cause i don't support discrimination of any sort.
But, what i did notice is that in the A&F stores, there were people of colour working there.
All i can say is...it would be a nice experience to work there, so if you're turly would like to try it..go ahead...good luck!

AF hire only people that look like they can be in their ads. When you go in to the store and the twig sales girl is wearing a barley their denim skirt, a skin tight tank and flip flops and its 30 below with two feet of snow on the ground there's a reason why. I don't think it the 10$ hour pay check or the great benefits. Think about if that's what your willing to do to work for the trendy company.

Ive seen some dark and mysterious girls in short shorts and flip flops helping me at the counter at Hollister (owned by A&F) so I dont think they only hire white people. That's illegal and a company that big, wants to stay within the law, Im sure. If you come across as an intelligent, well spoken person, they will probally like you. dont use slang, try not to say 'like' or some other sentance filler words. You have a little time, Can you record yourself talking?
Id wear something similar to what they sell, but maybe more on the dressy or consertive style, like Bananna Republic or a Gap look...no denim, maybe black pants, a cute blouse and some flats or heels?
Answer questions honestly, and think before you speak. Ask yourself questions -that they might ask you- before you go....
Why do you want to work there? do you want to work there because you are passionate about their clothes or fashion? do you like the atmosphere they lend to shoppers with the music, the images & the lighting.
What do you expect to bring to the company? a smile? a positive attitude? a top notch clothes folder?
I wouldnt advise you to say its because you want a cool job and a discount....good luck!!!

This is absolutely true that that horrible gross company "prefers" whites and being a fellow latina, i'm totally stressed for you... BUT, although I would NEVER apply/work for A&F, I hope you go and kick asss at your interview, in no way do I want to make this a totally negative answer... its the sad truth that racism is a HUGE problem still but I think you'll be fine, and happy birthday too chica!

i was offered a job there, with my latina and asian friends. I dont think they are prejudice, tahts just media hype. You should always dress up for job interviews, but wear something that would give the impression you belong in an abercrombie and fitch store.
