Two distinct views exist on the meaning of time. One view is that time is part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence. This is the realist view, to which Sir Isaac Newton [1] subscribed, in which time itself is something that can be measured.
A contrasting view is that time is part of the fundamental intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which we sequence events, quantify the duration of events and the intervals between them, and compare the motions of objects. In this view, time does not refer to any kind of entity that "flows", that objects "move through", or that is a "container" for events. This view is in the tradition of Gottfried Leibniz[2] and Immanuel Kant,[3][4] in which time, rather than being an objective thing to be measured, is part of the mental measuring system.

Yeah, let's not go into religion here. Just answer the question.
Time isn't an invention of man or a concrete law. We may have invented devices to... "record" time, but the following still stands. You can't really say what time is, other than the passage of events. It's much like asking if life is simply an endless dream. There's no real, concrete answer that can be given, despite what people may say. If you wish to know more, I suggest viewing the following Wikipedia article and spending some time thinking about it yourself; You may even surprise yourself!

It's an abstract thought that we made up to organize the way we perceive the world. By the definition of time, it exists and concrete. However, when things move to the speed of light, our knowledge of time breaks down and we aren't really sure how it really behaves.

My intuitive opinion is that time is one of the dimensions in which things change and events happen which we can perceive. The other dimensions in the framework in which we exist (whatever existing may be) are the 3 dimensions of space. Rather than our invention, the "key" to time is therefore our perception, without which time and space are much more difficult philosophical concepts.

Of course time is an invention of man kind, Romans made up the calender and everyone was made to abide by them, but what people don't get is you can organise your time to make it feel right for you, see.. everybody lives for money and you make money by playing by the rules of starting and finishing hours for work. BUT! if you were to drive out to the middle of nowhere you would be able to create your own "time", wake up at sunset go hunting at midnight go to bed at sunrise, then it would be your choice.

Time is not something man-made, for man exists in time. It is a concrete law during our lives on the earth. The clock is man-made though, and ways to classify time, like seconds, minutes, hours etc.
God is the only one outside of the realm of time, and he is also the creator of time.

Time is as real as distance and velocity is.
Can we see distance? can we see anything travelling in different velocities? of course time is real. If we find it constant, it doesnt mean that its not real. Gravity is constant at a place. Time is related to gravity as we know from peso tower experiment

Time and space are properties of the cosmos, what is man made is how we decide to measure them (minutes, seconds, hours, etc.). We could choose some other units.
