I think that the king of the jungle is the tiger or the black panther cause lions don't live in the jungle

Lions belong to the genus "Panthera"; which includes Tigers, Jaguars and Leopards.
At the time when the phrase "King of the Jungle" was coined they were.... because back then they roamed Africa Asia and Europe.
King of the Jungle now would probably go to either the Tiger or the Jaguar due to there being more numbers of them in the wild living in Jungles still.

No. Because they are lazy . The girl lions witch are call lioness's do all the hunting. as the male lions lay around. I think the elephants should be called the kings of the jungle .There more loyal.

i don't agree because lions don't live in the jungle, they live on the savannah. i've actually never really thought of why they are called the king of the jungle if they don't even live there. hmm.

First, Lions live in the Savannah. Second, male lions are the laziest animals on the savannah. The only thing they fight are other male lions and it's for who gets to mate with the females (oh, and they babysit while the females are getting dinner, isn't that ironic). You could say that female lions are the queen's of the savannah, but that changes the meaning of the saying quite a bit, doesn't it.

Elephants are really the kings of the jungle. An elaphant can beat any other animal in the jungle, if what I have read is correct.
