footwear shoulld suit the climate. if cold is over long periods such as in the ne and upper midwest a heavier, insulated boot would be better, but in warmer areas such as the deep south, a lightly insulated boot is better. you dont want the feet to sweat, but still be warm and comfortable without extra heavy socks which would be needed if the boot is not well insulated. the feet must breath and not rub and cause blisters or uncomfort when walking. they should be a wide base heel, not a stilleto type as with high heels. it will; help keep your balance especially on ice and hard packed snow. color can be any which you like and find available., though most usually wear black and dark blue.

I have both black and brown so I can wear them with anything...but if you want just one pair you can go with pink North Face if you're girly enough or maybe a blue?? North Face boots are going to keep you warm and dry...as ugly as they are I have Uggs and they're so warm and keep you dry as well.

I like uggs. They're kind of expensive but they're wayyy comfy. I like them in Tan or pink. If uggs arn't your thing try a high heeled boot, leather and black with a trench coat..i saw that in Vogue and it was wayyy cute.

depends on the weather, when the temps are below freezing you will want very warm fur lined, other wise they would not need to be fur lined, any color, if you want white, there is a Winter white, its a little different shade of white.
