Ever since I got ATI RADEON put into my computer, it crashes a couple minutes after I start up a game with advanced 3D graphics. I tried to play The Sims 2 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 and both games crashed in the middle of play, but when I play The Sims Deluxe Edition, it works just fine. Does anybody know what the cause could be?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

hi Loki, i think of i understand precisely what's incorrect along with your equipment as I had an identical situation (with the extraordinary comparable indications) some years in the past. there is likewise the thank you to objective it - however the undesirable information is that i think of you will choose a alternative pics card. at the beginning, after dusting off all your factors on an identical time as the computing device is switched off (and maybe leaving the case open to take a seat back it, make useful there is not any dirt!), see if the undertaking nevertheless happens. attempt it with some CPU huge video games like Starcraft II with the pics on low. this might tax your equipment's CPU yet no longer your GPU as video games like SC2 (and Minecraft to an volume) are not great-taxing on your pics card. i think of you will locate that those video games on low pics settings won't relatively reason your computing device to freeze almost as often. relatively, your pics card has certainly been overheating as posts above recommend, yet after a on an identical time as of this occurring everlasting harm starts off being performed to the pics card. i think of the consistent freezes, particularly if it happens whilst no longer working a activity or comparable, skill that the pics card is inflicting a undemanding hardware-proper crash which isn't too magnificent as a results of undeniable fact that the undertaking has existed for a on an identical time as. the perfect try, of direction, is to take your pics card out fullyyt and use your motherboard's on-board pics to make certain if the crash keeps to ensue - you probable won't have the means to play video games on any good high quality in any respect yet I guess the crashes end. Sorry for the in all probability undesirable information, yet i wish it facilitates diagnose the undertaking. Please terrific-answer me if i've got been of help! :-)

You'll probably need new driver for your graphic card. Go to ATI website and download the newest driver for your card. It's also a good idea to surf over the game makers site to download the latest patch for your games.

The card may be drawing too much power..you need at least a 450 Watt power supply. Sometimes crashes are because of not enough memory .. add more memory...1 gig is good! Go to http://www.newegg.com

Did you try downloading the latest drivers off of ATI's website - http://www.ati.com

Sometimes, old video drivers entries on a computer can conflict with newer ones. you may have to Set windows to a default VGA driver to remove the existing ones.
