No. I wouldn't kill anyone. But this brings up an interesting question. In California and elsewhere, murder brings a penalty of 25 years to life, life without parole, or death (depending on the circumstances). Yet some people still kill. For me, even if the penalty were a night in jail, I still wouldn't do it. Even if there weren't a penalty, I wouldn't do it. It's just wrong. More than that, I would feel terrible guilt for doing it. But some people wouldn't feel that guilt. Why?
The criminal justice system uses punishment to achieve different ends. Rehabilitation. Detering the criminal from doing it again. Detering other people from doing it in the first place. Keeping the criminal out of society for some period of time (or his life) to protect society for that time. And retribution (which some might say is getting revenge, but philosophers have stated that it is more like balancing out what the criminal did). Being somewhat liberal in this area, I like rehabilitation, detering the criminal from doing it again, and detering others. However, rehabilitation is kind of a pipe dream. So these two types of deterance remain.
I think that a lot of people are detered by the harsh penalties for murder. But penalties used to be much less (I had a client do 4 years in the late 1970s for a murder). Does that change someone's attitude regarding whether they are going to go out and commit a murder? I don't think so. I think that most people don't go out thinking that they are going to commit a murder and think about the consequences. Most people are law abiding and don't need to think about the consequences. Most of the people who murder don't think about the consequences at all. They are just so emotional about it that they do the murder without thinking about the long term consequences. They have tunnel vision. What percentage of people think about the consequences, the life without parole, the death penalty? If someone did a survey, I'll bet it is less than 1% of people who murder. The rest don't think about it. The murder is just something that occurs. Something that is logical or even justified in the murderer's mind.
The other day I was reading a little story about a psychopath, someone with no conscience, who did things and never felt guilt. His parents figured out their son had major problems early in life, so they showed him love and got him major psychological help. He eventually learned right from wrong. During one of his sessions with a therapist, he told the therapist that the difference between himself and "normal" people was that normal people "feel" what is wrong and what is right. The psychopath did not and had to learn it by rote memory. The percentage of psychopaths in society is relatively small (less than 5%), but the percentage of psychopaths in prison is far greater (as I recall from a conference I went to, it is around 50%, but I can't remember exactly, but the percentage in prison is far, far greater). As such, this tells you that the people who are committing crimes and murders would probably do it whether it was legal or not. Certainly, we might have more murders if it were legal. But I suspect it would not be appreciably more.

I'm not really sure if I would kill people if it was legal. It makes me wonder . . . if it was legal, would it have the moral stigma attached to it?
If it didn't have that moral stigma, I can't say that I wouldn't want to strangle a few people. But I can't imagine feeling good about myself after doing it. I just can't separate myself from the moral aspect of it.
No, I don't kill people in reality. Just occasionally in my head.
What kind of people? Mostly really, really stupid or rude ones.

laws don't keep people from killing each other. Laws are just for community justice to make the society feel comforted. I asked a judge once about that...she said capital punishment wasn't for the murderer, it was for the people...call it retribution or justice...it keeps the society together believing in itself.
I don't kill people because it is illegal...I don't kill people because it is a sin...I don't kill people because it is my soul not to kill people.

no and i think people who wish killing was legal are messed up..
Even if i am extremely mad at someone and never want to see them again, i would rather wish them to move to a diferernt state than to be killed.
Remember, they have families that will be hurt because they were killed, so they would have to suffer along with the person who pissed you off, except they didn't do anything to deserve it.

Killing saps your on soul. Go to Iraq, and you will have the chance to end lives. For me it was Vietnam, and for others it was elsewhere. Killing takes part of our soul.
