Time and time again we are unraveling lies and cover-ups?
In your opinion don't you think books and accountings by people should be proofread and researched before we believe them?
Just like the Newspapers, when they put their slant or guess on the situation? Don't we search for the truth in History and Science?

Well, I can tell you that history books are written to be diplomatic - and history is often written by the people in charge - and that is natural. History book writers want to sell their books - they will not do that if the wrong people are applauded in their text. The triumphant live to tell the tale. If you want a clear picture of history you need to look at it from various perspectives - put yourself in the shoes of the people fighting and hear everyone's side of the story. There are 3 version to every story - mine, yours and the truth.

Peace!

"History is a set of lies agreed upon by the winners."

Take everything you read or watch or hear that claims to be "historical fact" with a grain of salt because there's another side to every story. It sucks but that's the way it is. No matter how objective a person tries to be in writing about the past, it's always going to have at least a slight bias because it's written by a human and we're just not objective creatures.

Honey it all comes down to one persons word over another.Even pix,s can be altered.History tells us that MY ancestor Mary Todd Lincoln was insane! But the truth is that she made alot of enemies with the journalists in New York during the war who gave her very bad press.Years after having gone thru so much loss and poverty her ,she suffered with depression and her only surviving son had her committed for a while. So the truth is in the eye of the beholder isnt it!
