Think BUSINESS, not JOB!! Work for yourself, instead of someone else.

Both my current and last employer see a stint in the military as a huge positive (as do I) and equate it with at least a 4 year degree and then some. Most military people have great discipline at work and many employers really, really like that. Take a look at manufacturing supervision/management positions and you might find a great fit for yourself. By the way, Walmart is not a bad way to go. Most of them promote quickly from within and their store managers and district managers make well into the $100K plus mark annually. Good luck!

When I got out of the Army I took the exam to be a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. Usually the test is only open to Veterans. Might check with them.. Also they hire temps that if they do a really good job can be offered a full time position. If you don't want to carry mail there are a lot of other jobs available. They all pay good and the benefits are awesome. Other government agencies hire Veterans also. One other plus is you get to use your military time toward retirement.

I was an ammo humper while in the army. Civilians don't need many ammo humpers. You might have to do like I did and get some specialized training to get a better job. Good luck
