Yes, there is a number on each and every money order. Go back to where you purchased it and they will have a number for you to call. Different numbers for differents kinds of money orders........

If you are referring to a lost one, yes. You do need the receipt.

For a criminal action, yes. All money orders have serial numbers and can be traced to the person purchasing them if their information was gotten by the seller. Otherwise they can only be traced back to the seller.

Not if you've commited a crime.
If you are doing what you're suppose to then yes they can be traced.
