I am looking for the name of a stove that only extended about 22-24 inches from the wall and it had slide-out burners for when you used them and then you could push them back when not in use and had double side-by-side ovens overhead and storage underneath for your pots and pans. My grandmother had one and I would like to see if i can get one like it. She died in 1989, so it was from before then and it was an electric stove.

What you describe rings a bell somewhere in the back of my brain, but I do not remember the maker or the brand. Best advice is to check some of the websites dealing with "vintage stoves". The restoration and sales of stoves from the 1940's through the 1960's is a big business. There is a lot of information available on the internet. A Yahoo search for "vintage stoves" (include the quotation marks in the Yahoo search box) yields 47,600 results. If you do the same search, and are willing to spend a little time exploring, I'm sure that you will quickly find lots of useful and interesting information. You should find the information you want in just the first couple of pages of results. There are stove enthusiast forums where you will have a much better chance of getting specific information since those on the forums have similar interests.

Good luck with your search for information.

It's an old Kenmore. I would advise against it. It's old enough that the wires get brittle and break especially behind the slide out unit. Part's such as bake elements, thermostats and timers could be tough to locate. It was sold in the early 70's. It was an excelent idea especially in small kitchens but was very expensive for it's day compaired to a standard range.
