Let go forever. After 14 years of getting abused physically and mentally (im a slow learner) I have learned that after time a little slap can turn into attempted or even murder.

Hitting is never ok, and it's a bad bad bad sign - without any psychiatric help, it NEVER gets better, and someone may end up in hospital, stalked, dead ....
The answer is run away as fast as you can the first time someone is violent - even pushing, or screaming in your face.
If you are in deep with a person who has hit you and having a hard time getting out - go to a counselor - both of you going is best, if the other won't go, go yourself and get clarity and help in letting this person go.
Don't let this snowball into a tragedy for yourself down the line.
Peace

Both. I think you should defintely get out of this relationship, becuase this person clearly does not respect you, among other things, and you can't be in a relationship with someone who doesn't respect you, or who doesn't treat you NEARLY as well as you deserve. On the other hand, once you're out of this relationship, try to forgive this person, for your sake. You don't want baggage, and it'll be liberating to be able to let this go.

Ive been in relationships where I have been hit and abused. You are probably thinking whats the difference, well for me if hes only hit you once theres a possibility he wont do it again. If he hits you on a daily basis thats abuse.Everyone deserves a second chance.

Let go and get out. No one should accept that behavior from anyone else. One time being hit is one time too many, let alone more than that.

Please...leave before things get worse. You are worth so much more than that.

Look at all the evidence. If they hit you tehn it will only get worse and for god sake if youre dating this get rid of him now. if you are married to him go to the nearest divorce lawyer and have him put in jail. Would I forgive them? No way .
