while we're on the subject, who was your favorite charecter from the show? i thought Joe Piscapos Frank Sinatra was a scream!

Sorry, can't say I like any of them now. I watched SNL in the first few years with Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, John Belushi and Dan Ayklroid, Jane Curtin and that group. Land Shark - the best sketches. Nothing compares to that quality of writing and humor.
What's on now is a mere shell of what the show used to be.

right now SNL is in an all time low. Although Seth Meyers and Darrel hammond are pretty funny. Favorite all time, it is hard to choose. It all depends on who I can remember. After all, all the greats have been a part of SNL. My favorite characters from the show had to be the church lady and any of Mike Myers characters. The chip and dale strippers are a classic. ONly someone like Chris Farley could pull off that striper. The opera man was hillarious. Then there was phill hartman. His Bill Clinton was amazing. Alex Trebek aka Will farrel is one of my favorites. Yet Hamond as Sean Connery was hilarious. Will Ferrel's GW was too funny and Dana Carvey as his dad was just too much.

CURRENT: dont have a current because unfortunatly the show really isnt funny anymore...they all have talent, dont get me wrong, but just not my kind of humour...the skits all loose my interest after a minute or two, and they just drag onnn and onnnn
ALL TIME: hard to call between phil hartman and chris farley....although i think my favorite character was the motivational speak who lived in a van down by the river....matt farley...?

Right now I think Rachel Dratch is awesome, very funny and talented. My all time favorite from the show...hmmmm...has to be Will Ferrell.
I think Gilda Radner's Roseanne Roseanna Danna...was the greatest.

Horatio Sandz is my current favorite, but I really liked Jimmy Falon. He was hilarious on Weekend Update. That show has gone pretty far downhill since he left. I'd rather watch MadTV

My favorite all time comdienne on SNL was Molly Shannon. The Delious Dish skit was the best. Teri Rialto (Molly Shannon) and Mary-Jo McCullen (Ana Gasteyer) were the funniest with Pete Schweddy (Alec Baldwin) and his Schweddy balls. I am in tears every time I see that skit!
